With over 40 years of experience in fire and emergency services, I will always support our police and fire departments. In a competitive hiring environment, we must ensure our city is doing everything possible to recruit and retain the best.
Cypress is a great place to live because of the programs our city puts on that bring the community out. We need to restore funding to youth sports, commit to safe and vibrant parks, and bring more residents into the decision-making process.
Cypress has a balanced budget, and we are on a strong fiscal path. As councilman, I will ensure that continues — allocating funds responsibly to the core functions of government while getting out of the way so residents can make their own decisions.
Decisions should not be made behind closed doors. I believe in a full, transparent decision-making process. It's the job of the city council to meet residents where they are. I'll make sure residents are fully up to date on the major decisions the city is considering — especially around development, taxation, and the budget.
